throughout the car was replaced with aircraft bolts and studs. The body was stripped to bare
fibreglass and three coats each of undercoat, primer, finishing coat and clear applied. In the
engine rebuild, new competition pistons were fitted and the crank, though standard and in good
   condition, was ground 010 undersize.
Competition: In November 1998 #1838, driven by Barry Gray, won the under-1600cc class in the
1200km Classic Adelaide Mountain Rally which included 33 close-road special stages. The
following year 1999 again driven by myself #1838 repeated the win in the Classic Adelaide event.
The car has been entered in many hill climbs, track and VSCC club racing events since restoration
and has performed perfectly. - Barry D. Gray
